Do you consider yourself an empath?
I’m about to rock your world- and maybe piss you off if you answered yes to this question.
There is a huge difference between being a person who is capable of having great empathy for others, and being a person who identifies as an empath.
One is healthy. One is not.
Absorbing other people’s emotions or energy as your own and merging with or over identifying with someone else’s story or suffering is lacking emotional and energetic boundaries.
Having a strong sense of empathy is one of my super powers. But I am not an empath.
This is an important distinction.
It is not noble, to be an EMPATH. In fact it contributes to toxic relationships…
